Executive Coaching to Help Today’s Leaders

deliver peak performance for yourself and your team.

Leaders in tech have some of the most critical jobs for the success of their companies.

Yet these are the people who tend to get left behind when it comes to leadership development. Leadership growth and development initiatives are woefully underfunded in most places, and when high-performing individual contributors get thrust into people-leader roles, they often don’t have the skills, experience or resources to maintain their trajectory.

Two people working together to represent developing leaderships skills and leading a team.

Companies simply don’t set leaders up for success.

You’re here because you’re talented, motivated, driven, and know you can get results. But you face challenges:

  • Disengaged teams

  • High demands from the higher-ups (that may not be realistic)

  • Disrupted culture (from changes in leadership, or shifting from in-office to remote)

  • Building well-balanced, diverse and high functioning teams

  • Supporting your team members in doing their best work

These are the kinds of challenges that may look easy from the outside, but become much more complicated when you’re in the driver’s seat.

I believe great leaders are service-oriented, present, & confident in their skills — always thinking how they can support their organization and teams for the most successful outcomes.

A portrait of executive coach, Heath Hatchett.

Hi, I’m Heath Hatchett

I help leaders at all levels to build and nurture talented, diverse teams with empathy and authenticity.

For over 25 years, I’ve led high-performing teams at tech companies, including Salesforce, Oracle, and Intuit, and I know the unique pressures that come with these fast-paced roles — as well as how to thrive in them.

You’re working with the best of the best, and you want to ensure your place among them.

That work starts with developing the most authentic version of yourself - as a person and as a leader.

    Support

I coach because I’ve personally experienced the value of the coaching relationship, and I know how having someone 100% on your side, celebrating your victories and cheering you on makes a difference.

How We Work Together

Getting to know each other

  • I offer a free 45-minute Chemistry Call to check if I’m the right coach for you and if you’re the right client for me.  If we’re not a great fit, I’ll gladly refer you to another coach in my network if you’d like.

  • After our Chemistry Call, if we decide to move forward, you’ll purchase a package of 1:1 sessions with me. I currently offer a 6-session package designed to be used over three months.

  • We’ll schedule your sessions up front at the times that work best for you using my online calendar.

How We’ll Meet

  • We'll meet using Zoom for 45-60 minutes per session, usually every other week (but we have the option for weekly or monthly depending on your needs).

  • During our first session, we’ll focus on defining your goals, and we’ll continue to check progress on these goals throughout the 3-month engagement. You’ll most likely have some in-between-calls homework designed to keep you moving toward your goals.

FAQs

  • Coaching is based on the idea that you already have the answers within you. I help you uncover those answers.

  • Mentoring is “I’ve done this before myself, here’s what I did myself when I was in that situation. You may want to consider that.”

Advising is “Here’s what you should do.”

Occasionally, I’ll do some mentoring because I do have a lot of experience. But as a coach, I try not to tell you what to do — because you’re developing trust in your own capabilities. When you discover the answer in yourself and take the action successfully, it builds the muscle to be able to do it again next time.

  • Because I work with organizations and individuals, my pricing tiers vary based on the situation, which is why I don’t have them listed. Let’s hop on a Chemistry Call so we can get to know each other and, if we’re a fit, we’ll find the price tier that makes the most sense.
